clk city hall

I’ve tried calling several times during the only part of the day I can actually call because I work, and I couldn’t even get through because City Hall wasn’t open to the public. How does that make sense? Most of us work during normal business hours, so making it harder to reach City Hall just seems backwards. And honestly I think people need to start paying more attention to what’s going on over there. We’ve had a lot of turnover in leadership over the last few years. The old administrator no longer the administrator. The old public works director is no longer the public works director. Why is the mayor wanting an attorney at every meeting? What are they hiding? Why aren’t more people asking questions about what happened and where the city is headed now? We should all be paying attention to management salaries, hiring decisions, and how our tax dollars are being spent. Public employees work for the community, and asking questions shouldn’t make anyone the bad guy. If everything is being done the right way, then transparency shouldn’t be an issue. May be I’m the only one that feels this way, but I don’t think I am.
